Furuno Radar Upgrade on White Pointer 840 Pro Sportsman

Today we had the pleasure of working on a serious offshore weapon — the White Pointer 840 Pro Sportsman — and upgrading its already impressive electronics setup.

We installed a Furuno DRS4D-NXT Solid-State Doppler Radar, mounted cleanly on a Seaview radar mount for optimal performance and visibility. This cutting-edge radar offers excellent target tracking and safety in all weather conditions, making it a must-have for serious offshore use.

The radar integrates seamlessly into the existing Furuno TZT2 12" MFD, which is already paired with a DFF3D multibeam sonar — giving the skipper incredible mid-water column visibility and structure scanning capabilities.

For deep water clarity and precision, the boat also runs a Furuno FCV-295 sounder in the dash, paired with a 3kW R509 transducer — a combination that delivers unmatched target separation and definition at depth.
