Services & Installation

Do you offer mobile installation?

Yes, we do. We’ll come to you so there’s no need to haul your boat anywhere.

What areas do you cover for installs?

We’re based in the Bay of Plenty but service a wide area — Bay of Plenty, Coromandel Peninsula, and inland to Rotorua. If you’re further afield, get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.

Can you install electronics I’ve already purchased elsewhere?

In most cases, yes. We’re happy to install gear you already own, but we do recommend buying through us so you get full warranty support and the right advice for your setup.

How long does a typical install take?

It depends on the job. A simple sounder swap might take a couple of hours, while a full fit-out with radar, autopilot, and new wiring could take a day or two. We’ll give you a clear idea when quoting.

Do you provide on-water calibration or training after installation?

Yes. We’ll run through how everything works with you, and for systems like trolling motors and autopilots, we do on-water calibration to make sure they’re performing at their best.

Products & Sales

What brands do you supply?

We supply leading marine electronics brands like Garmin, Lowrance, Simrad, Minn Kota, and Furuno.

Do you sell gear without installation?

Definitely. If you just need the products, you can order directly from our online store or give us a call.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes — we ship anywhere in New Zealand.

Can you help me choose the right electronics for my boat?

Absolutely. Tell us what type of boat you have, how you fish, and where you go, and we’ll recommend the right gear for your needs and budget.

Do you offer package deals?

Yes, we can put together custom packages — for example, a chartplotter, transducer, and radar — and make sure everything works seamlessly together.

Technical & Support

What’s the difference between a transom mount and thru-hull transducer?

A transom mount is easier to install and works well for trailer boats. A thru-hull transducer gives better performance, especially at speed, but requires a professional install as it requires a hole through the hull.

What size/chartplotter do I need for my boat?

That depends on your boat size and how you use it. Smaller boats often suit 5–7" units, while larger hardtops and launches are better with 9–12" or bigger screens. We’ll match the right size to your dash space and fishing style.

Can I upgrade my current system to work with newer electronics?

Usually, yes. Many systems can be upgraded without replacing everything. We’ll check compatibility and recommend the best upgrade path.

Do you update software/firmware on installed gear?

Yes, we always update your system to the latest software when installing. We can also update your software on an existing system in your boat.

Do you provide after-sales support or troubleshooting?

Of course. If something’s not working right, give us a call — we’re here to help.

Payment & Warranty

Do you offer payment plans?

We don't currently offer any payment plans like Afterpay etc.

What’s the warranty on the products you supply?

All products we supply come with the standard manufacturer’s warranty. The length varies by brand, but most offer at least 12 months, with some up to 3 years.

Do you handle warranty claims if something goes wrong?

Yes, if you bought through us, we’ll take care of the process with the supplier so you don’t have to.

Is installation covered under warranty?

Our installation work is covered by our workmanship guarantee. If something wasn’t done right, we’ll fix it.

General

Do you work on all boat types?

Yes, we work on trailer boats, hardtops, centre consoles, launches, and more.

Do you work weekends or after hours?

We mostly work weekdays, but we can sometimes arrange installs on weekends if needed.

Can you customise installs to suit my boat layout?

Definitely. Every boat is different, so we customise each install to get the best performance and cleanest finish.
