Osprey 515 sounder module upgrade, Simrad S5100.

This Osprey has been steadily getting kitted out, and today we added another round of upgrades to take it to the next level.

First up, we installed a Simrad S5100 sonar module and linked it into the existing EVO3S display. This combination delivers serious deepwater performance and ensures the skipper gets crisp returns, even when fishing in challenging conditions. Perfect for anyone chasing those deepwater species where detail really matters.

Space was tight, so we fabricated a custom HDPE mounting board to secure the S5100 neatly and safely. The end result is tidy, practical, and built to last.

We also fitted a Victron DC/DC charger on the rear of the boat to keep the trolling motor battery topped up. This means longer time on the water without worrying about running low on power – a must-have upgrade for any serious angler using an electric motor.

To finish it off, we installed Narva touch lights featuring both white and red LED options. The white light provides great illumination when needed, while the red light is perfect for preserving night vision when heading out early or fishing after dark.
