Haswing 55lb Trolling Motor Upgrade on a Stabicraft 1550

We recently set up this Stabicraft 1550 with an electric trolling motor package designed for better control while fishing and hands-free boat positioning on the water.

The heart of the install is the Haswing 55lb, 54” GPS trolling motor — a perfect match for this size boat and ideal for both lake and inshore use. With GPS Spot-Lock style anchoring and precision speed control, the owner can now stay locked onto structure or follow shorelines with ease.

To keep everything powered reliably, we installed a 100Ah lithium battery paired with a 70A Marinco plug system for safe, high-current quick-disconnect capability. This allows the motor to be removed when not needed while still maintaining a clean and tidy setup.
